Cruising Sailors! Sea Gypsies! Sailing Enthusiasts!

This Sailing Website is dedicated to the new generation of circumnavigators. Join the club and contribute to a database where the growing community of all long term sailors and those who would like to become one can benefit from your experiences.
The Idea behind it was born when we were still actively cruising, but was never followed up because of the lack of time and internet connection. Now we're having a break from cruising, doing a charter business on the little island of Koh Tao Thailand which gives us the opportunity to get this project done.
The philosophy behind it is to help a younger group with limited funds to maintain a lifestyle which we regard as the best. Regarding the problems of this planet and modern societies it would be desirable that more and more people would lead this satisfying lifestyle with very little impact on the environment.
Let's come together and show a growing audience your boat building and renovating projects, contribute to a worldwide cruising guide which makes the overpriced and in some cases utterly useless commercial ones obsolete. Report unscrupulous sailing relatet businesses who rip off cruising sailors because they're gone soon. Give recommendations for the ones who are behaving fair. Look for easygoing crew to share the expenses and watches for your cruises or look the other way around for sailing yachts who are willing to take you with the Koh Tao Yacht Club group on

 Love is in the Air

thumb_sailingengagementtripthailand.jpgWell it must be something in the Island air at the moment. Recently Freedom Fargo has played host to Island Cruises first engagement proposal.
Oliver a long time visitor to Koh Tao, took his beloved girlfriend of the last years on a sunset sail with the intention of popping the big question.
Freedom Fargo has never looked so good. She was layed out with over 3 kilos of orchids, champagne and strawberries exclusively for the occaision.

TYC is Taking Island Cruises Staf for corporate Hike

kohnanyuang.jpg The Island Cruises Team went into the Hills of Koh Tao for a corporate walk to find the mysterious Caves. The day was overcast, we would say best conditions for a hike on a small Island in the Gulf of Thailand. Awarding was defenetly the view over to Sairee Beach or Koh Nagyuan even though we did not succeed in finding the caves.

Music night @ Tao Yacht Club

thumb_livemusictaoyachtclub.jpg
Brilliant as always, but particularly acceptional given that our famous singer Kelly is just about to tigh the knot and leave us.
Alf wripped out some of his gorgeous tunes as always, Ivor and Paul made an awesome drum and harmonica solo and as always we all slept well at the end of the night.

So look forward to seeing you again on Saturday night the 17th of May since it is potentially the last time we are given the grace of Kelly's brilliat voice!!!!!!!!

However, the live music night is on every fortnight at the Tao Yacht Club and starts at 8.00pm. See you there.....

 Rebuilding a Yacht - a Project

thumb_dsc00734.jpgYun Khan is the given name for this 30 year old BODEN Design known as Temptress 34'. She was originally built in Sydney and is now getting the refit she deserves. We have to thank Sylvester from Poland, Cathy from Canada, Marie and Ron from Australia and Heiko from Germany who helped us to make the Yun Khan Reassembling Project possible and therefore considering it as an international project. She is a steel boat and was looking at the time we took her over more like a tank.
